Id-ul-fitr

After 30 days of ramazan the
muslim celebrate Id.They go to
mosque and pray and when the
come to home they congratulate
each other.
 


Christmas

Christmas is celebrated as the day
of birth of Jesus christ.In Christmas
people give greetings and gifts to each other.
 


Diwali

When Ram came home after
14 years of exile in the forest,
the hindus celebrate this day as Diwali
by lighting lamps & crackers.
 


Guruparv

Sikhs celebrate Guruparv as the day
of birth of Guru Nanak by organising prayers
and community gatherings called "MELAS"
 


Holi

Holi is celebrated mainly by north indian
people who put colours on each other,
exchange sweets & wish for the well being of each other,
while celebrating the onset of spring
 


Rath Yatra

Rath yatra is celebrated in South India,
in which a procession of the idols of the gods
is taken out in a charriot, which is pulled by
many number of people
